In less than
clement weather Pete to the Naughty Step & Jude to the bottom. 16 buckets

Mainly
cementing but a bit of hauling as well. Nigel’s attire at the surface was
slightly suspect. Budgie smugglers and a T-shirt wrapped around his head!
Adrian.

Jude, NikNak, Pete H & Myself.
A really good
hauling session. Eventually we seem to be getting some larger rocks appearing
at the bottom. A bit of undermining of the walls was carried out by Mak – oops,
I mean NikNak – but hopefully not too serious. Adrian.

5 buckets of
spoil out, 4 buckets of cement in! With Pete at the bottom hauling out spoil
digging seemed to be going well. Unfortunately, one of the rocks in the floor
slipped downwards, and part of the wall as well. Digging in the floor then
stopped and with the help of a crowbar and chisel as temporary RSJ’s Pete did
some remedial wall building. Hopefully this will stabilize this section of
wall. We shall see! Adrian.
Saturday 24th October 2015. John Cooper, Pete Hann, Geoff Newton and Adrian Vanderplank. A dozen small tubs of spoil hauled out by Geoff and I before 3 tubs of cement and some rocks sent down for Pete to build a supporting wall. 2 hours in the rain. John.
07/11/2015
Nigel Graham, Pete Hann & Myself.
Pete down to
the bottom, myself to the Naughty Step. The remedial work on the wall looks
like it has worked, and there was no sign of subsidence or cracking. Forty
buckets of spoil removed with signs of a good draught and small holes between
boulders! Adrian.
Saturday 19th December 2015. John Cooper, Nigel Graham, Pete Hann and Mike Kousiounis. 40 loads hauled out on a wet and windy day. 2 hours. John.
