John Cooper, Nigel Graham, Pete Hann and Adrian Vanderplank. Double mix of cement all used by Pete at the bottom. A couple of rocks moved up to the bottom stacking space at 184m OD. Draughting out again. Only one mix next week. Nigel failed to reach the Tunnel today. 2 hours. John.

John Cooper, Nigel Graham, Pete Hann and Adrian Vanderplank. Double mix of cement all used by Pete at the bottom. Same again next week. Nigel only reached the Tunnel today. 1½ hours. John.

Saturday 11th February 2023

John Cooper, Nigel Graham, Pete Hann and Adrian Vanderplank. Pete’s birthday, 66 and officially a pensioner now. One mix of cement and capping kit taken in. Pete used the first bucket of cement walling with existing rocks before Adrian capped some more rocks in the floor. Then Pete used the second bucket of cement trying to keep the boulders from landing on him, not always successfully. Will need a double mix next week. Nigel reached the bottom stacking space this week. 2 hours. John.

Saturday 4th February 2023

Emma Ballard, John Cooper, Nigel Graham, Pete Hann, Adrian Vanderplank and Jude Vanderplank. Double mix of cement again today. Emma, Jude and Pete went in first to start digging out rocks at the bottom. Adrian and John did the cement mixing and ferried it down. Nigel came in as far as the Tunnel. Emma, Jude and Pete were at the dig face in turn with Pete doing the walling. Adrian was at the start of the rift and John at the bottom stacking space. All the rocks and clatch at the bottom stacking space were sent back down to Pete for his walling. Next week will probably be capping the floor of the dig. 2 hours. John.
